Lek Chailert is the founder of the Elephant Nature Park (ENP) in Thailand. She has rescued 200 distressed elephants in Thailand and neighbouring countries over the past 20 years. With love and empathy, she rehabilitates elephants who have been in captivity, abused, spent their lives doing forced labour or elephant rides for tourists. At ENP they learn to be elephants again – free to roam, without chains or beatings, and able to finally enjoy living.
